How we calculate scores →About this gear
ACCU THERMO TYPE 24 provides adjustable heating power from an external canister, with an E/O heating lead and a separate charging/lighting port. The control offers off, 70% and 100% settings.
Consider before buying
The introduction says 24 Ah / 288 Wh at 12 V, while the table says 23.45 Ah / 242 Wh at 10.95 V. Dry weights also differ. Do not assume the two outputs have identical electrical characteristics simply because they share the same battery housing.
Our take
This is an option for a larger heating battery once the actual unit specification is confirmed. Compare Type 14 for the smaller format and the Special for its different housing claims. The Varuste owner reviews do not supply an independent editorial overall rating. The assessment remains provisional: current contradictions prevent a defensible endurance or weight comparison.
