PRODUCT OVERVIEW

About this gear

The Astra 2100 is Cressi’s rechargeable scuba torch with full, half and strobe settings. A magnetic USB connector charges its built-in 5000 mAh battery without opening the housing. The current store description specifies a CREE XHP50 LED and a maximum output of 2100 lumens.

Consider before buying

Cressi advertises four to eight hours, but that is not a verified flat-output burn curve. Plongée à la Carte gives the exact model 17/20; its article contains conflicting runtime figures and treats package measurements as product dimensions. We use the editorial overall grade with those limitations disclosed, not its Amazon customer stars.

Our take

Consider Astra if magnetic charging and simple power selection suit your routine. Hunt 1600 has a different grip aimed at spearfishing; Kraken NR-1800 offers a removable-cell approach. The 85/100 score represents one publisher’s opinion, not our hands-on test or proof of superior endurance.

Review evidence and source documents

Published findings and supporting documents, with each source identified below. We have not personally tested this product.

The publisher gives Astra 2100 an editorial 17/20, favouring magnetic charging and handling. Runtime statements conflict within the article, and package dimensions are described as torch dimensions; those claims are not used as verified specifications.
