PRODUCT OVERVIEW

About this gear

The XT is a paddle-style open-heel fin with stainless spring straps, moulded heel pads and swivel buckles. Dive Rite specifies a thermoplastic-elastomer blade construction. It is a boot-wearing scuba option, so foot-pocket fit should be checked with the boots or drysuit footwear you will actually use.

Consider before buying

DIVEIN’s tester found strong frog-kick propulsion but needed to adapt to the longer blade for back-finning. The review also flags roomy foot pockets. Manufacturer and review material terminology differs, so the current specification here follows Dive Rite rather than assuming every production version is identical.

Our take

Shortlist the XT when you want a spring-strap paddle fin and can try its blade response in water. It is less convincing as an unseen purchase when you already struggle with oversized foot pockets or strongly prefer a short, stiff blade. The independent test provides useful observations but no verified overall numeric score.

No numeric rating

The tester reports effective frog kicking but an adjustment period for back-finning and wide foot pockets that need a fit check. No numeric overall rating was verified.
