PRODUCT OVERVIEW

About this gear

The Cuda 400 is a discontinued tow-behind DPV made from 2008 to 2019. Dive Xtras lists a NiMH battery, eight electronic gears and an adjustable-pitch propeller. Its 19 kg weight and 180 m historical depth rating describe the original model, not a guarantee about the condition of a used unit.

Consider before buying

The original table gives 27 minutes at maximum speed and 119 minutes at the stated cruise speed. Age, battery replacement and modifications can make a used scooter very different. Check service support and the actual battery configuration. The archived blanket airline-acceptance claim should not be relied upon; confirm transport conditions with the carrier for the installed pack.

Our take

Consider Cuda 400 only as a used-equipment purchase with documented battery and maintenance history. A brief owner recommendation was located, but not a complete independent overall rating. CudaX Tech offers a newer platform to compare for weight, controls and support. Neither range tables nor a larger thrust figure replace DPV training and dive planning.
