How we calculate scores →About this gear
Oceanic’s TankTamer is a cylinder-retaining band with a quick-release stainless-steel fastening arrangement. It is listed as standard equipment on the Photon Pro and an upgrade for the Photon Air.
Consider before buying
The checked description does not provide a cylinder-diameter range, webbing width or a universal BCD compatibility claim. Confirm the band routing and cylinder fit for your actual setup. Reviews of the complete Photon BCD do not establish a standalone rating for this band.
Our take
Choose TankTamer as a matching replacement or supported Photon Air upgrade. Its quick-release design may suit divers changing cylinders regularly, but correct installation and a secure cylinder check remain necessary. Buying it for another BCD requires an explicit compatibility check. No exact-model independent numeric overall score was verified; the existing official image remains mapped locally, with fresh gallery access blocked.
