PRODUCT OVERVIEW

About this gear

Suunto’s Wireless Tank Pressure Transmitter sends cylinder pressure to compatible older-generation Suunto computers. This SS019098000 version has a green transmitting indicator and is distinct from the Tank POD used by other Suunto models.

Consider before buying

Check the exact computer compatibility list: it includes DX, D4i/D6i families and Vyper Novo, but a Suunto name alone is not enough. Suunto requires its flow restrictor and recommends professional installation. For older or used units, verify completion of the manufacturer’s July 2017 recall upgrade before use; affected unupgraded transmitters must not be used.

Our take

Choose this transmitter to add integration to a listed compatible computer, rather than assuming it will pair with a newer Tank POD system. Suunto specifies service after 200 dives or two years. Independent scores for a paired dive computer are not separate transmitter ratings, and no eligible overall score was verified.
