The Scout pares the back-inflate format down to a 24 lb bladder, two utility pockets and four D-rings. It uses a low-profile bladder retractor and Zeagle’s adjustable fit system. At a listed 6.7 lb dry, it is lighter than the Ranger but still has the structure and storage of a conventional BCD.
Consider before buying
The published 16 lb rear weight capacity should not be mistaken for a Ranger-style front Ripcord system. Check how you will carry and release the weights required by your configuration. Lift requirements also need to be assessed for the actual cylinder and exposure protection.
