How we calculate scores →About this gear
The Huron DX carries wet dive gear in a rubberized-mesh backpack with padded shoulder straps, an exterior pocket and a large YKK zipper. It offers more organization than the simpler Huron LT.
Consider before buying
AKONA’s current page lists 371 litres alongside 30 × 15.5 inch dimensions; that capacity needs correction. ScubaLab’s published dimensions also duplicate an adjacent duffel entry, so they are not a reliable replacement. No capacity is adopted here.
Our take
ScubaLab praised the tested DX’s easy access and external dry pocket, naming it its 2023 mesh-bag Testers Choice. That award is useful qualitative evidence, not a numeric overall score. Choose the DX for separate small-item storage, after confirming the current bag’s dimensions and pocket closure with the seller.
