Our category crown goes to our favourite from the models we’ve compared. It reflects our editorial preference; your fit, setup and budget still come first.
Buying rankings: choose by what you need
Three focused lists with real product photos, specifications and buying checks. List positions are editorial choices, separate from the verified scores below.
We have not verified an eligible numeric overall rating for these products. The shortlist below helps you compare documented features; its order is alphabetical, not a performance ranking.
Models to compare before buying
Alphabetical by brand and model. Each entry links to manufacturer specifications and any review evidence we have found.
The Caspian LT is a long mesh duffel for carrying wet fins and other dive gear. Its main nylon-mesh body packs down when empty, while the handles wrap around the bag to spread the load.
Check before buying: AKONA lists 78 litres and a 31-inch length. Measure your fins rather than assuming longer freediving blades will fit. Mesh provides drainage and ventilation, not a dry compartment or rigid protection. Small valuables need their own pouch.
The Huron DX carries wet dive gear in a rubberized-mesh backpack with padded shoulder straps, an exterior pocket and a large YKK zipper. It offers more organization than the simpler Huron LT.
Check before buying: AKONA’s current page lists 371 litres alongside 30 × 15.5 inch dimensions; that capacity needs correction. ScubaLab’s published dimensions also duplicate an adjacent duffel entry, so they are not a reliable replacement. No capacity is adopted here.
The Huron LT is AKONA’s simpler mesh backpack for moving wet equipment between the car and dive site. It combines nylon mesh and tarpaulin with padded shoulder straps and brass drainage grommets.
Check before buying: The current page calls the mesh coated and lists a zipper, while ScubaLab’s 2023 LT test describes uncoated mesh and no secondary opening. Dimensions also differ. Confirm the current stock before relying on the older review’s construction details. Mesh lets water pass through and does not protect your car from drips.
The Yukon is a small utility bag for weights, tools and loose dive accessories. AKONA lists recycled fabric, a reinforced bottom and handles that wrap around the bag, rather than relying only on attachment points near the opening.
Check before buying: Its seven-litre capacity is for small items, not a complete dive kit. Drain holes let water escape, so keep paperwork and electronics elsewhere. Reinforced construction is useful, but AKONA publishes no maximum load rating on the checked page.
A padded carrier marketed for transporting a regulator, gauges and a dive computer. The manufacturer catalogue identifies the item with SKU 11-0501-00.
Check before buying: Confirm the internal dimensions against your assembled regulator and hose routing. Padding is not a guarantee against crushing or rough baggage handling.
O’Three’s Dry Bag is offered in several capacities for carrying wet equipment separately or keeping belongings protected during transport. The manufacturer highlights the 75-litre version supplied with Port 10 suits and its backpack-style carrying straps.
Check before buying: The description lists 6.25, 25 and 75 litres, while the option table also includes 12.5 litres. Confirm availability and carrying features for your selected size. No submersion depth or duration rating is published, so the name should not be read as an underwater-storage certification.
The BG-8547C is a large wheeled equipment bag with a retractable handle and a stand-up design. Problue specifies 1680-denier nylon with an internal PVC coating, plus stainless-steel screws and bolts in the wheel assembly.
Check before buying: At 4.5 kg empty, the bag uses a meaningful share of an airline weight allowance before you pack any gear. PVC coating does not establish that the complete bag is waterproof. Check the airline’s current limits and your longest fins against the actual interior, rather than relying on external measurements alone.
The BG-8547D is Problue’s deluxe wheeled equipment duffel. It combines a retractable luggage handle with a stand-up shape and reinforced wheel hardware. Its stated 1000-denier nylon mesh-sandwich construction includes PVC.
Check before buying: The published 4.7 kg empty weight is 200 g more than the BG-8547C, despite identical external dimensions. Denier alone does not prove which complete bag will last longer. No independent comparative abrasion or wheel test was found, and a PVC-coated fabric is not a guarantee of a watertight bag.
Photo Pro Backpack SL940 carries a camera and lighting setup in a padded compartment with six adjustable dividers. Ballistic nylon forms the exterior, with a separate accessory area and a rear padded space advertised for a 13-inch computer or tablet.
Check before buying: The camera compartment has drainage holes, so this is not a submersible drybag. SeaLife’s dimension table also contains inconsistent inch-to-centimetre conversions, including the overall height. Confirm the real measurements against your equipment and carrier’s baggage allowance.
The Molokini organizes a regulator set and smaller travel items in an 11-litre shoulder bag. Stahlsac includes a laptop sleeve sized for a 16-inch screen and a neoprene holder for a dive computer or console.
Check before buying: The bag is for organizing and carrying equipment; no impact-protection certification or waterproof rating was verified. A screen-size label does not guarantee every laptop chassis will fit. Airline cabin acceptance also depends on the carrier’s current dimensions and allowance.
TUSA’s UA0309 Long Fin Bag is a narrow tarpaulin carrier with padded shoulder straps, a front pocket and an interior storage pocket. Its 103 cm length is intended to accommodate long freediving fins.
Check before buying: The manufacturer lists 47.5 litres alongside dimensions of 103 × 23 × 17 cm, which do not reconcile even as a rectangular volume. Confirm usable capacity before planning a full kit around that number. The construction is described as water resistant, not as a sealed drybag.
Waterproof’s WP Drybag 65L uses a roll-top opening, backpack straps and ultrasonic-welded TPU 840D construction. Its large single bag format is intended for carrying equipment around wet environments.
Check before buying: The checked page supplies capacity but no depth rating, immersion duration, empty weight or external measurements. Do not interpret the brand name or welded seams as approval for carrying electronics underwater. Roll-top closure space also needs to be allowed when packing.
