PRODUCT OVERVIEW

About this gear

LED SPELEO MKII is a separately sold umbilical light head with a narrow 6-degree beam. Ammonite specifies one SST70 LED, up to 3,000 lumens and 32 W, with magnetic selection of 20%, 40% and full power.

Consider before buying

A battery, cable and charger are needed to make a working system. The current runtime table is headed for SOLARIS NEXTGEN, so its figures cannot confidently be assigned to this head. The low-battery reserve feature is not a guaranteed exit-time allowance.

Our take

Consider SPELEO MKII for a concentrated beam rather than broad camera illumination. The retailer DirDirect comparison distinguishes it from the older 1,300-lumen Speleo, but supplies no eligible independent overall score. Compare Solaris for a different output/head size, or Nautilus MKII for an adjustable beam. Battery-specific endurance remains unresolved.
