PRODUCT OVERVIEW

About this gear

Dive Rite’s EX2778 is a low-profile unbalanced relief valve for a drysuit. It comes with 24 inches of Norprene tubing, a plastic catheter adapter and a gasket specified for a trilaminate suit.

Consider before buying

It is a urination-system component, not a drysuit inflation or exhaust valve. Unlike EX2777, it has no balancing valve. Obtain the correct fitting and operating instructions for the complete system rather than assuming the two models work identically. The official gallery currently shares an EX2777-labelled photograph, so an exact EX2778 image is withheld.

Our take

Consider EX2778 when an unbalanced system is specifically the configuration you want. Its simpler valve arrangement removes one component to maintain, but does not remove the need for cleaning and checks. Compare the balanced EX2777 before installation; neither model has a verified independent overall score here.
