The NA-ZR is Nauticam’s Nikon ZR housing for filmmakers building around its N120 lens-port system. Its aluminium body has an integrated leak/vacuum monitoring circuit and mounting positions for a larger video rig. The camera tray arrangement allows the vacuum monitor to be reset without opening the lens-port assembly.
Consider before buying
A vacuum valve is optional, even though the monitoring electronics are included. The ZR port chart uses specific zoom and focus gears; older Nikon gears are not automatically compatible. Nauticam lists the 22225 FTZ adapter arrangement for supported combinations, so an existing N120 collection still needs a lens-by-lens check.
Our take
Choose the NA-ZR if its port options and control layout justify the whole-system cost. Compare Ikelite’s ZR housing for the same camera: the latter includes several accessories that are separate choices here, while the NA-ZR is manufacturer-rated to 100 m. Neither bare housing price includes a finished optical and lighting system. A Nikon ZR review filmed through an Ikelite housing does not count as a Nauticam housing test.
