How we calculate scores →About this gear
SeaLife’s Micro Wide Angle Dome Lens SL052 is a removable underwater lens for Micro-series cameras and the ReefMaster RM-4K. It uses four optical elements in four groups, a coated polycarbonate dome and a locking push-on mount.
Consider before buying
It is a 0.7× wet conversion lens, not the DC-series 0.5× lens or the 52 mm threaded model. SeaLife lists underwater close focus at 12.7 cm on Micro 3.0 and 10.16 cm on RM-4K. The lens is negatively buoyant, making the supplied lanyard useful when it is removed.
Our take
Consider it for wider scenes and closer framing on the listed cameras. The 331 g dry weight adds handling load, and the dome needs protection from scratches. Camera reviews mentioning this accessory do not provide a standalone lens score. Check compatibility and the manual’s underwater-only focus requirements before buying.
