Getting wet equipment from the dive site to the rinse area is a different job from checking luggage at an airport. These bags prioritise drainage or wet/dry separation. Mesh makes water escape; a roll-top bag can contain wet equipment during transport, but should not become a reason to leave gear packed damp.

How we chose and ordered these picks
Mesh backpacks and duffels lead for drainage, followed by a fin carrier and a roll-top alternative for separation.
List position is an editorial recommendation, not a review score. The selection uses the documented features and limitations below. We have not personally tested this equipment. Verified publisher scores, where available, are shown separately and link to their evidence. Our catalogue is still being researched; inclusion does not mean a product has a completed scored review.

AKONA’s current page lists 371 litres alongside 30 × 15.5 inch dimensions; that capacity needs correction. ScubaLab’s published dimensions also duplicate an adjacent duffel entry, so they are not a reliable replacement. No capacity is adopted here.

The Huron LT is AKONA’s simpler mesh backpack for moving wet equipment between the car and dive site. It combines nylon mesh and tarpaulin with padded shoulder straps and brass drainage grommets.

Current coating and zip details conflict with 2023 test
What to check
The current page calls the mesh coated and lists a zipper, while ScubaLab’s 2023 LT test describes uncoated mesh and no secondary opening. Dimensions also differ. Confirm the current stock before relying on the older review’s construction details. Mesh lets water pass through and does not protect your car from drips.

The Caspian LT is a long mesh duffel for carrying wet fins and other dive gear. Its main nylon-mesh body packs down when empty, while the handles wrap around the bag to spread the load.

What to check
AKONA lists 78 litres and a 31-inch length. Measure your fins rather than assuming longer freediving blades will fit. Mesh provides drainage and ventilation, not a dry compartment or rigid protection. Small valuables need their own pouch.

Waterproof’s WP Drybag 65L uses a roll-top opening, backpack straps and ultrasonic-welded TPU 840D construction. Its large single bag format is intended for carrying equipment around wet environments.

What to check
The checked page supplies capacity but no depth rating, immersion duration, empty weight or external measurements. Do not interpret the brand name or welded seams as approval for carrying electronics underwater. Roll-top closure space also needs to be allowed when packing.

Before you buy
Choose the carrying style for the walk between vehicle and dive site.
Check the actual fin length against the opening.
Unpack and care for the equipment after transport; a bag is not a drying system.
Take two or three suitable models from this list into a comparison, then remove any that fail your fit or compatibility checks. A lower position here can still be the better purchase for your setup. Check the product page for source dates and unresolved details before placing an order.
Can a mesh bag keep my car dry?
No. Mesh deliberately allows drainage. Use a suitable containment plan if water needs to stay away from the vehicle interior.
