How we calculate scores →About this gear
The current RCL-200 LED is a permanently mounted marine searchlight with a die-cast aluminium housing. Twelve LEDs provide a manufacturer-rated 720,000 candela beam, controlled by a wired point pad or wireless handset.
Consider before buying
This assessment covers LED part numbers 1965 and 1966, not older lamps sharing the RCL-200 name. The light alone weighs 7.5 kg; mounting space, wiring and the boat’s electrical supply need planning.
Our take
A useful option when you want remote aiming from the helm. Its continuous rotation and return-to-home control suit a fixed installation. Compare installation costs and beam requirements with your marine electrician before choosing it by brightness alone.
