Consider before buying
It is not buoyant on its own; the flotation pouch is separate. Lifejacket integration needs the correct installation. Yachting’s reviewer liked combining two alert systems but found the colour-coded test flashes difficult with red-green colour blindness.
Our take
Our choice over a basic satellite-only beacon when both nearby vessel detection and satellite alerting matter. Compare the Ocean Signal PLB3 for the same broad combination. Treat this as surface emergency equipment, with suitable protection for any diving use.
