How we calculate scores →About this gear
The NR-LEP01 combines a narrow 3° laser-excited-phosphor spot with a 100° LED flood. Kraken specifies the spot as 8 W and the flood as 2500 lumens. These figures describe different quantities: 8 W cannot be treated as a lumen rating or a direct comparison with the flood.
Consider before buying
The table lists 120 minutes at full spot and 60 minutes at full flood. Red mode appears in the description but is omitted from the mode table, so confirm the supplied version. The concentrated beam is a different tool from a broad video flood and should not be directed at eyes.
Our take
Consider it when a very tight spot is the reason for buying a light, with flood as a secondary function for nearby work. A narrow beam demands careful aiming and lights a much smaller area. The LTD 3000 offers a less specialised flood/spot combination, while the Hydra 2200 WSR is a lighter camera-oriented option. Manufacturer claims about long-range performance were not independently measured in this assessment, and no exact-model editorial overall rating was verified.
