Consider before buying
Kraken’s description says 100 m, while its specification table and housing photograph say 80 m. Treat the depth rating as unresolved and obtain confirmation for the actual housing before purchase. The page also mentions TG-5 compatibility, which should be checked rather than inferred from the TG6/TG7 title.
Our take
This suits an existing TG camera owner who wants a metal housing and a way to check the seal before entering the water. A vacuum check is useful, but does not replace inspection of the O-ring and closure. Check that the lens, adapter, strobe cable and camera controls work together as a complete setup. Reviews of Kraken smartphone housings and WeeFine-branded TG housings were not transferred. For a simpler alternative, compare the OM System PT-059 for the exact camera and intended depth.
