Petrel 3 Fischer combines a 2.6-inch AMOLED screen with a Fischer port for external oxygen-sensor monitoring. Shearwater lists monitoring of one to three cells, open-circuit and rebreather modes, vibration alerts and support for four optional wireless pressure transmitters. A replaceable AA battery supports field servicing.
Consider before buying
A Fischer connector is a compatibility requirement, not a guarantee that this computer suits any rebreather. Confirm the approved connection and configuration with the rebreather manufacturer. The 285 g external-monitoring version is bulkier than a watch-format computer; transmitters are optional.
Our take
Consider it when readable external PPO2 monitoring and a compatible Fischer connection are the reason for purchase. The 4-Pin Monitor is a different connection option, not a plug-compatible substitute. Petrel-family reviews were found, but no verified overall rating for this exact Fischer configuration.
