How we calculate scores →About this gear
The F8 pairs a dry-sealed first stage with an adjustable second stage. Zeagle offers DIN and yoke connections and specifies a brass first-stage body with black-chrome finishing, a heat sink and a zirconium-plated inlet tube. The second-stage inhalation control is a practical feature to evaluate with your usual gloves.
Consider before buying
Confirm the exact first- and second-stage combination, hose layout, approved gas limits and service support before purchase. A seal and heat sink do not by themselves establish approval for your intended cold-water conditions. Local service availability matters more than cosmetic colour kits.
Our take
The F8 is worth shortlisting when you want accessible adjustment and a sealed first stage, with local servicing in place. DIVER’s February 2021 test found comfortable breathing during a demanding sharing exercise, although breathing rates were not measured. Submerged Travels reported a less favourable head-down experience. Together, those accounts make a mouthpiece and hose-routing check more useful than choosing on appearance alone.
