Consider before buying
ACR lists 96 hours of standby and more than eight hours active operation. Battery service and the correct variant matter when evaluating older stock. Its radar response should not be confused with the AIS location messages of Pathfinder AIS.
Our take
Maintain an existing unit through an authorised service provider. When replacing it, establish which SART technology your vessel requires before comparing price: the newer AIS product is not simply the same receiver technology in a different case.
