How we calculate scores →About this gear
The LTD 12000 pairs a powerful white flood with a separate 1800-lumen spot. Unlike the multicolour Hydra line, its principal functions are broad video lighting and a narrower beam for looking into small areas. Kraken’s current page lists CRI 90, 5600K and 35 minutes at full flood.
Consider before buying
The current manufacturer page gives a 120° flood, while older dealer listings describe 100°. Some listings also attach WRGBUV wording to a model Kraken describes as white flood/spot. Confirm the exact revision, beam and included charger rather than relying on a dealer title.
Our take
This belongs on a shortlist when you genuinely need both beam types in a high-output light. If most of your shooting uses only flood, compare the Abyss 10000 before paying for a spot function you rarely use. The smaller LTD 3000 is another option when camera size and mounting load matter more than maximum output. Reviews or demonstrations of the discontinued LTD 10000 are not reviews of this 12000 model. No eligible exact-model overall rating was established.
