How we calculate scores →About this gear
The 3000F Auto adds automatic brightness control to a broad camera light. Its sensor adjusts output between 300 and 3000 lumens, while manual operation offers full, half and quarter power. Flash detection can briefly switch the light off when an external flash fires; that function can also be disabled.
Consider before buying
Automatic adjustment is useful only if its response suits the shot, so retain manual control for consistent lighting between clips. The red-light mode is an option for the photographer, not proof that wildlife is unaffected. This is the older Auto model, distinct from the similarly named 3000F Color Boost.
Our take
Choose the Auto for its sensor functions rather than for the lumen number alone. The 2500F is simpler if you normally set brightness yourself; Pro Dual Beam adds a dedicated spot mode. DIVE Magazine’s introduction explains the Auto features but contains no independent overall numeric rating or long-term test.

The launch article describes Auto Bright and flash detection, with manual brightness options. It is an introduction, not a scored field test; the wildlife-stealth claim is not adopted as established behaviour.
